Scholars at Rauner College Prep participate in several elective courses during the school day. Each scholar participates in a physical education course during all four years of their career at Rauner, with choices like team sports, individual fitness, and weight training. In addition, scholars are able to choose between elective options like performance band and Marine Corps JROTC. Scholars will take two years of an elective world language, take courses in technology, and will have many more opportunities for elective study as the campus grows.

Enrichment Opportunities:
All scholars are expected to take elective classes outside of the regular school day at some point in their academic careers. All scholars must earn a minimum of two (2) enrichment credits in order to graduate. Scholars can earn these credits in after school programs, summer programs, and night school. All elective programs are approved by the Dean of Students. Rauner offers enrichment classes like jazz performance, quilting, stress reduction, watercolor painting, film study, and many others.
