At Rauner College Prep, we know that parents and family are instrumental in supporting our shared efforts to help our scholars achieve success. We work to keep open lines of communication about scholars’ performance and progress, sending home bi-weekly progress reports, communicating with a weekly newsletter, and employing an advisory program where one staff member serves as advisor for all four years and builds meaningful relationships with each scholar’s parents.

RCP parent attendance at report card meetings has been over 95% throughout our history. Our parents and family work diligently to support our school community, volunteering to help in the office and in the school, teaching art and enrichment classes, and hosting special events.

We want to support you in guiding your child to do his or her best. Here are some links that we hope you will find helpful as you continue the challenging task of parenting a teenager. Your active participation in supporting your child at Rauner College Prep will greatly enhance his/her success. Here are a few things to do as a RCP parent:
  • Stay informed about your child's progress by checking PowerSchool frequently.
  • Keep communication open with the school.
  • Support your child’s study habits.
  • Become familiar with Noble Street guidelines in the Parent Handbook.
  • Support your son or daughter's career planning and college search.
  • Help your son or daughter to make wise choices and to cope with peer pressure.
